    Expansion of the MILL4FEED Line with Tools Carrying a New 9 mm Insert


    Highlights
    Following the highly successful introduction of the MILL4FEED FFQ4-12 milling cutters carrying the 12 mm size inserts, ISCAR is expanding the line by introducing new tools that carry smaller 9 mm inserts.


    The new FFQ4…-09 tools are available in the following configurations:
    FFQ4 - endmills in 22, 25, 32 and 35 mm diameters
    FFQ4-M- interchangeable milling heads with FLEXFIT adaptation in 22, 25, 32, 35 and 40 mm diameters
    FFQ4- face mills in 40, 50, 52 and 63 mm diameters

    Tool Features
    • 12º cutting edge angle
    • Ramping down capability
    • Positive axial rake angle
    • 2.5 mm radius for programming
    • Coolant holes, directed to each individual cutting edge for efficient cooling effect
    • Polished coating on the cutter’s body providing better chip flow and protection from corrosion and wear

    • Square single-sided insert with 4 cutting edges
    • 1.2 mm maximum depth of cut (1.2 mm for milling open or shouldered plane surfaces and 1 mm for milling by ramping)
    • Available with three types of cutting geometries for optimal machining of different materials:
      FFQ4 SOMT 090412Tfor steel, ferritic and martensitic stainless steel, cast iron and hardened steel
      FFQ4 SOMT 0904RM-Tfor interrupted cut and machining near straight shoulders on steel, ferritic and martensitic stainless steel, cast iron and hardened steel
      FFQ4 SOMT 090412HPfor austenitic stainless steel and high temperature alloys
    • The FFQ4 inserts are produced from ISCAR’s latest SUMOTEC carbide grades, ensuring high productivity
