New Steel Shanks with Serrated Connection for Exchangeable Heads

New steel shanks with serrated connection, to fit ISCAR’s AVC exchangeable heads (WHISPERLINE® heads)
ISCAR continues to expand its internal turning options with additional 4xD overhang steel shanks
(without damping mechanism) that will fit the existing AVC exchangeable heads.

Length
The new combination of SH-shank with the exchangeable heads can be used with an overhang of up to 4D, similar to our regular steel shanks.
The tool line enables use of the AVC cutting heads with a large variety of different insert geometries.
The tools are designed with internal coolant holes directed to the edge. The efficient distribution of
coolant increases the insert’s tool life by reducing temperature, and also improves chip control and
chip evacuation.
The boring bars represent a cost-effective modular system, with standard shank diameters 16mm,
20mm, 25mm, 32mm, 40mm, 50mm, and 60mm.
The heads are available for the following inserts: CCMT, VCMT DCMT, DNMG, VNMG, CXMG
and CNMG.
